Is this cool or what! We got to play at the Homeless World Cup.
I love soccer and I know a bunch of you do too. There were lots
of crazy and fun people at this event. This was not a fund raiser
either, it was a fun raiser :) Even a shoe over did it and went
flyin' literally, through the air.
Quite a few of the players also came to talk to me and tell their
story or just to say thank you for playing music. That's so awesome.
A lot of them were new to soccer but the game has made them passionate,
and that's more than half of any battle. To find out more about
the event you can goto: Homeless
World Cup 2006

Music
has always been a part of my life, but only in the last few years
have I had the opportunity to perform as a singer songwriter.
Most of my musical influences were from my father who not only
took me to concerts starting at the age of five (Beach Boys) but
also to local music venues including the Double Door. Barry, my
dad, also plays guitar and as all good fathers, incouraged me
to get a degree in computer science at UNC Charlotte. Thus I do
have a "day" job that supports my greatest vice and
love: music. Developing banking software by day and music every
night. A dear comedian friend once promised me an eighth day for
rest. Of course, if I had that extra day I would play and write.
Friends
know that I am quiet and unassuming in social environments. I
am not a social butterfly, but that makes the "entertainer"
portion of performing a bit different, and uniquely real. If you
want someone to say what you want to hear in place of the truth,
I'm not your girl. My view is real and different and reflected
in my music. Live life one day at a time, be responsible for your
happiness and stop a minute to appreciate it. That's all I can
hope to do.
I
will always be passionate about music. As happy as I am with my
life, and I truly am blessed by the God(s), I am constantly struggling
and striving for success in my music. The fact that you are taking
the time to read this helps in my success as does every time you
ask about me and when I am going to play at your favorite bar,
even when you clap after a song that you may not realize is an
original or any song makes me stronger and better; thank you.
